Lançamento do livro Feminismurbana em inglês
It is with great joy that we launch today — March 8, International Women’s Day— our book FEMINISMURBANA – A Theoretical Political Project. This volume brings together works that address the realities of Latin American cities and their relationship to the everyday processes of social reproduction carried out by Brazilian women. From environmental issues to questions of mobility, the book focuses above all on the struggles and forms of resistance forged by women in urban spaces to sustain social justice and quality of life for all. It highlights the work of various Brazilian social movements led by diverse women’s alliances, from housing rights organizations to the organized movement of sex workers. We hope this translation will help broaden feminist debates about cities and foster the exchange of knowledge among women around the world. If you can, please help us spread the word and share the book within your networks. We acknowledge with thanks the financial support provided by Rio de Janeiro state research support foundation - FAPERJ, PPGAU/UFF and Universidade Federal Fluminense, thereby enabling its wider international dissemination.
